Wireless Home Security Sensor
I brought my family to my birthplace of Michigan when I assumed the childhood home left by my dear departed parents. Aside from putting up a business, I am bracing the abode against burglars now that I have refurbished it. Wherever we live, it is altered not to set off our 6 year old’s severe asthma. I worry for family protection more than the usual and give it serious thought. I sought a sure-fire solution and determined it to be a motion sensor home security product.

"In spite of the retailer claiming that my smaller triggers from previous SkyLink alarm would NOT work, they did!!But my newer alarm came with these triggers (2).I find them a bit bulky and unsightly so I prefer the smaller ones with a smaller battery.
About the best thing about THIS trigger is that you KNOW if it is not in its closed position by the little red light. If the light comes on, it is not fully closed and alarm will not arm this particular trigger. " – Shawn Brown
Customer Reviews:
"I looked around for awhile to find a full functioning easy to install wireless alarm system. This one fit the bill. The key feature I was looking for was the ability to have a "chime."I needed this to know if one of my young children decided to open a window or patio door without my permission. No one else has this as an option. The only was to do it was with local window alarms only. This is controlled centrally just as a real security system should.
The instructions are easy to follow and installation a snap. You're not going to find a better system than this at this price. " – docfeelgood
Customer Reviews:
"I have purchased 4 of these motion detectors and only 2 of them work. The co. promises replacement at this writing but we will see.Had many calls placed to tech support without getting any one to answer the phone, when I did reach them I had a tech I had a hard time understanding.I will re-evaluate this review at a later date.
Update:
They have responded after going through all the rma mailings and phone calls.I finally received my new detectors so I have to give them an extra 2 stars.I have put one of them in service and appears to be working alright.will wait a while before activating the other to make sure This one doesn't issue any false alarms

Customer Reviews:
"Very sensitive and large vertical and horizontal area of detection. Includes optional sensor window minimizer to reduce side sensitivity. Excellent range to base unit.
No wires so installation is a breeze, in fact you can just set it down on a high shelf.
Have not experienced any false alarms due to reflected light or any other reason - it detects motion via infrared energy... heat. Will work when pitch black or in daylight.
Has an internal antenna.
If the base unit is just out of range or operates intermittently due to a weak signal, there is a 6" internal antenna (not mentioned in the manual)connected and wrapped inside the housing. The housing can be opened and the antenna can be extended vertically out of the top of the sensor housing by cutting or drilling a small hole for the antenna to exit the housing. This will extend the range somewhat. " – Mr. Geezer

"This is an additional door or window sensor for the Mace wireless system. The unit does what it must and has some nice options such as making an alert sound or only sending a silent signal to the main controller. Being wireless is a great plus because you do not need to run wires and that means there are no wires to cut or be tampered with. " – James E. Shearer

"I've had this alarm for 2 months now and just ordered a second for the back door. The door alarm is VERY loud and piercing.I would think a burglar would not bother entering a home if this alarm was set off.If you want to use the Home mode (so that it sounds off right away when the door is opened), you have a choice of selecting "chime" or "alarm."For the Home mode using "alarm" you do have to activate it with your 4 digit code but you do not need to punch in your code if you're using "chime" for Home mode.
When you set it to "Away" mode, you just need to enter your 4 digit code and leave within 45 seconds. When you come home, you have 30 seconds to enter your code to deactivate the alarm. " – Mary

"Works with ALL THREE of the SkyLink alarms I have been forced to buy before I found one I THOUGHT worked (false alarms every day!!!).But this motion sensor works very well and I recommend you buy a couple extras if you can.I put one in my garage, one in my kitchen, one in my living room, and one in my hallway. This is one way to avoid buying so many expensive door/window triggers.SkyLink offers a gray one for more money but the cheaper white one works just fine, even with other SkyLink alarms. "I installed this in the front yard near the front door. There's not a tremendous amount of light, such as for security purposes, but it's good for the sole purpose of making sure you don't bump into anything. The sensor seems pretty sharp, when I drive up in my car it goes off just pulling into my driveway. The install was pretty easy, but I feel like it has kind of a clumsy look or something. It's just personal preference though. I bought this one and also the Fulcrum Products Light-It 6 LED Porch Light with Motion Sensor for the back yard. I would give each the same type of review, except that I prefer the look of the Fulcrum and the install was easier.
Update March 25: It's still working, no battery changes yet. The Fulcrum light stopped working after a couple months.
Update June 10: It's still working, no battery changes yet. I'm buying another one for the backyard to replace the Fulcrum. " – 2010SoCal

"I bought this camera to watch who is coming to my front door. It's virtually no set up, just plug it into your TV and go! You can also connect it to your computer if you have a DVR card.
This camera sees clearly the whole front yard, plus accross the street.Way better then I thought it would be. I can see clear who is outside, in my front door, even at night. The camera has IR lights to see at night, in black and white. This camera is inexpensive, but works great. It deserves the best rating. I could not have been happier. " – Abry M ED

"This alarm is terrific if you're in an apartment. For a house I would spend the money to have the whole house wired, but for apartments, it does the trick. Put one on each window/door and forget about the $100's in gates and bars. I refuse to be the prisioner in my own abode with gates and bars on the windows... I live in NYC. This alarm is loud and the batteries can be tested without setting it off. If you have old wooden windows it may not line up properly but you have a half inch deviance to play with before it activates, but most of the windows in NYC are energy efficent aluminum double glass..so for $6.06 each they're a bargain. I highly recommend it for apartment living. " – trinitycause
The HomeSafe Wireless Home Security System is equipped to curb possible thieves with dual sensors, for detecting a windor or door being moved within 250 feet or any other action up to 8 yards. Now, that is reliable!
Other than sounding a warning if either activator is set off, this motion sensor home security system calls through to 5 preset phone numbers on a tone-dialed land line. The base signal will dial the number I pre-entered as first.

A prerecorded warning of security breach is played on the line once the call is picked up. Whoever answers may hear what goes on in the room, relay his voice or disarm the system.
Now then, the base unit is set to ring the next number on the list if no one instigates a voice relay or unit disablement. Is this a smart motion sensor home security product or what?
Of the remote controls that come with the HomeSafe Wireless Home Security System, I was especially amazed by one containing a hassle-free panic button to arm or disarm the system.
To think my standards are high for a motion sensor home security system, they were fulfilled by the HomeSafe Wireless Home Security System. Our new home next to Lansing is secure, along with the antique jewelry and home office in it.
