Telephone Table
A telephone table makes a good addition to any home and because of its chameleon-like ability to adapt, can also act as the perfect housewarming or wedding gift. These madly versatile tables can literally work with any decor imaginable because there are so numerous designs and colors to choose from. Some tables even come with attached padded seating, allowing for a comfortable place to sit down when you come in from work as you take off your shoes and check your messages.

"I purchased 2 of these to use as bedside tables.I love the way they look and overall they are good quality for the price.My husband had to do some adjusting to get the drawers to slide in and out properly, but now they work great and I love them.They are small, but with the drawer and the shelf you can store lots on this stand.

"This just arrived to my home yesterday. I am very happy with it. It was very easy to assemble with the included allen wrench and only 12 total screws. You don't even need a screwdriver. Most of the peices are already pre-assembled including the drawer. The screw holes are pre-drilled and line up correctly. All you have to do is attach the table top and bottom shelf to the 2 sides and the table is ready to use. All of the screws are installed underneith, so you can not see them on the outside of the table (unlike many other brands of furniture that you must assemble in this price range). The table is SOLID wood: no laminate, no particle board. I bought it as a temporary solution to replace my current large bedside table while my bedroom is full with a baby crib. But now I plan to buy more of these Winsome Wood furniture pieces for my house. " – kazzam

"The nightstand arrived in a timely manner, but I was disappointed in the craftsmanship.The legs had large chips on them.The chips evidently were created when they were being cut out, as the chips were then painted over.The top of the nightstand had little nicks all over from where it was stapled together, then they were painted over too.I had to put a square piece of black drawer liner on the top to make it look better.The nightstand itself is not stable, as it is top heavy.My lamp has to be perfectly centered, or it wobbles back and forth, and feels like it is going to tip over.I put a number of books on the bottom shelf to make it more sturdy.The looks of the nightstand is deceiving, as it looks good from the front, and the drawers work well, but I would not recommend buying it - as it is very cheaply made.Although ... what should I expect ... it didn't cost much. "The only nice thing about this is the nice wood finish. It came in a small, light box. A piece was broken where the drawer slides into. I had to hammer it back on but kept coming off that I had to Super Glue it. It's Wobbly & Very Light that if not careful it can tip over (not good if you have a nice breakable on it). It's also very short. It could be in a Toddler's Room as a decor or miniature table. It took me 15 minutes to assemble & fix the broken piece. One of the tiny wood insert on top is loose & one of the screws won't tighten. Disappointing. I had to have it shipped overseas and I don't want to deal with returning it. It will do for now. It was Cheap so You get your money's worth. The shipping of $15 Killed me! My total for this thing is $42! Not even worth Shipping it back & loosing more money. " – Eviebarbi
A multipurpose telephone table will not only work with your decor, it will enhance it. There’s no doubt that you’ll find precisely what you need for any given area or theme, be it a cozy cottage beach look or an upscale, chic and modern style. Keep the overall size of the room in mind as you consider your purchase; if the room is large and the furniture is too, you will want to buy a big table, conversely, keep it small if the room is small.
Are you amused in creating a gentle and airy ambience in a room? A wicker table will work nicely. Or go with an all white or bleached oak or pine table to enhance a tropical beach motif. If you want to build a simple, uncluttered theme, chose a plain, unadorned table with fresh lines. The more casually decorated room usually works best with a table that has a lighter finish. A table with a pale finish usually works well in a child’s room or in a room with lots windows. A dark walnut table, seriously carved with ornate flowers is going to look completely out of place in the baby’s room.

"I purchased this table because the price is right and there were three other five-star reviews. I guess previous customers must have gotten a better-quality table, because the one they sent me is nothing more than cardboard masquerading as a table. Though the top of the table is indeed made of varnished plywood, the rest of the piece is nothing but particle board. Even the bottom shelf is made of particle board. We went to assemble it by screwing the bottom shelf to the legs, and the shelf just disintegrated. That's what cheap pressed board does. "I initially bought my Moshi Moshi handset as a novelty, but I'm shocked how useful it's turned out to be. Like everyone in their 30s or older, I grew up using phones with handsets just like this one. I had forgotten how comfortable they were to use, however. This thing can be cradled between shoulder and chin, just like a real phone, and it doesn't get hot like cellphones do.Sound quality is better than other wired (and wireless) headsets I've used--I often have difficulty understanding people on my phone, due to Sprint's highly compressed signal, but so far have had no problems understanding callers when using the Moshi Moshi handset. Highly recommended.

If you’re looking to stick to a tense budget, pick up an unfinished table and paint or stain it to your desired specifications. Or you can look for a wooden veneer table to keep costs down; a wooden veneer table would be less expensive than a strong oak or maple table.
Are antiques more to your liking? Telephone tables have been popular for decades so there are a lot of real antique telephone tables and antique replicas on the market. Look for a darker finish to suit a more classic, traditional style room. You might find a table that is so distinct that you decide you want to decorate around it rather than just use it as an additional table.
If your style leans more toward the sleek and modern, you would do well to pick up a dark or white lacquered telephone table. A brass, chrome or stainless steel table would also work well with lighter, modern furniture. Search carefully and you might even find an all glass table.
