Metal Platform Bed
If you are looking for a bed for your child’s room that will not really cost as well far but also help to provide more space for them to play. Then it is worth thinking about investing in a metal platform bed for their room if they are old enough. "This item is even nicer than it seems in the picture, I love my new bed and it even came with the nice wooden slats (the ones that flex). Be careful though, make sure that you measure everywhere so that you can be sure that the frame can fit up the stairs or in your elevator. The frame is one solid piece and very big. "Did you read the title of my review?If so good, because seriously, a hammer will not do. You'll NEED a mallet.That said,...assembly time (1 person) is about 90 mins.Less than 60 mins if you have an electric screwdriver with hex bit attachments.There are not a lot of different pieces used to put this together, so it's pretty straight-forward.
As far as the design goes - pretty solid.This an Ikea'ish design and I like it.It's very sturdy and simple to put together.Once you DO put it together, I doubt you can take it apart - the plastic holders for the slats look like they're meant to stay in,...forever.You can easily get to the legs and remove those if your moving, but just so you know, okay?Are we cool?Yes? No?Anywayz, I'd say for the money it's a good buy.No box springs necessary since the wood slats bow upward providing that needed "cush".

"This is a great inexpensive solution for a laptop stand.It is very sturdy with the mesh type bottom allowing good circulation and heat dissipation.The stand adjusts to several different angles, although the lowest one seems most useful.The only real negative I see is that if you use an Apple notebook, one of the front supports is directly in line with the CD/DVD insert slot.You have to move the notebook for disc insertion or ejection. "This is the best bed rail if you DO NOT have a box spring. My 2 year old recently moved into his toddler bed and I purchased this rail because he has a "bunkie" board instead of a box spring. The length is satisfactory, and the fold-down mechanism is perfect because of the raised hinges. It is easy to make the bed as well. We also purchased it for the grandparent's house because they have a platform bed. It works equally as well. My only complaint is that maybe the rail isn't high enough but my son hasn't been tempted to climb over it. I would recommend this bed rail for a good transition to a "big boy" bed that doesn't have a box spring (although the manufacturer recommends it). " – S.P.

My hubby and I began a search for something that the tv could sit on with the cable box under it. "This stepstool is very solid but is extremely heavy and difficult to move around. This is the perfect platform frame.It was easy to set up, just unfold and put in a couple of screws, slide it into place and put your mattress on it.It has plenty of room for storage under the bed.It does not squeek.No need to buy extra slats.I will be getting more of these, I am done with regular bed frames. Tip 1 – It is important that only like other furniture you try to clean it each day. If this is not really possible then make sure that it is kept clean every other day or every week. The much less dirt and dust that is allowed to build up on the surface of the metal bed frame will ensure that much less damage is going to be caused to it.
Tip 2 – Of course young children are likely to have accidents at night and although most of the moisture will be collected by the mattress there is a possibility that some of it will come in contact with the frame. Remember that urine contains acid that can really eat away at the paint on the frames surface and once this occurs then moisture can be absorbed by the metal below. This can lead to the possibility of the frame then becoming rusty.
So as soon as you see that there is any kind of moisture on the surface of the frame make sure that you wipe it off with a fresh soft cloth. Plus it would be a good idea to remove all bedding and mattress from the bed to allow everything to dried out out completely.
Tip 3 – If you find that your child has gone into their room with tacky hands after eating food and have clambered onto their bed make sure that you wash these things off immediately. To do this requires you just to mix a small amount of dish detergent with some water.
Now take a clean cloth that you have put in the water and then wring it out completely so it is damp. Use this to wipe the offending dirt off the metal platform bed. You must make sure that after washing the area down you take a dry towel and us this to wipe off any moisture left behind along with any dirt.
Tip 4 – If you do notice any damage to your child’s metal platform bed then immediately treat with a product that will help to prevent rust from forming. Plus also it would be a fine idea to apply a new coat of paint to the frame as well.
