Industrial Air Compressor

Our Top 5 Picks:

As consumers, we often complain about the high cost of products and labor. However, many businesses who purchase and use industrial air compressors actually end up saving their clients money and benefit us in ways we have probably never even thought about. Here are just a few ways that industrial air compressors benefit the average person.

Customer Reviews:
"Purchased this air compressor to replace one I have had for many years. The unit is larger than I needed but is a quality built unit. The unit has more than enough CFM's for my needs , impact guns and spray guns. I found most of the units I looked at were of poor quality. This is a great compressor. Packaged in a box covering a wooden crate. Minimal assembly , you have to add the oil and install the 2 air filters. Ran the break in as suggested in the manual. Shut the unit off. Closed the petcock and restarted. The unit shut down at the expected 135 psi. I lowered tank pressure with my blow gun and at 100 psi the pump started up to refill the tank. Easy to use compressor but is not a unit I plan on moving often. Perfect for moving around my garage but not something i would try and use as a portable for in home repairs. I am impressed with the quality of the unit. The other plus was the unit is quiet... " – Steve

Customer Reviews:
"I have this pump running 8 small air stones... on a small aquaculture project. 4 stones are 4 feet deep the other four are about 2 feet deep. It just about powers these and i could probably add one or two more. This should give you an idea of what you can do with it. It is terribly noisy btw. best for commercial applications.. or keeping it in the garage and sending the air hoses indoors. " – Nicholas Williams

Customer Reviews:
"Came alright, fits right, seemed like a lot of $$ for such a lil doohickey but I need it =] Get it at Harbor Freight for about $3 " – misc "lms"

Customer Reviews:
"This is a no frills very well made switch suitable for motor control when you don't need an internal fuse to protect the motor from overload, or when there is overload protection on the motor itself. I used it on a 2 hp motor on my 8" jointer. Probably not as safe if there are inquisitive children around as the push button contactor with lockout type switches that ship with new jointers. The toggle and contacts are large and robust, so it should hold up well. " – Ed - Woodworking

Customer Reviews:
"This is just what I needed to have a detachable connection between my air tank and my permanent RapidAir lines. Now I can disconnect the short hose and move the compressor if I have to.The rubber hose and fittings seem to be of good quality, made by Goodyear in the U.S.A.The hose is very flexible, bending without kinking. " – Book Carpenter

Customer Reviews:
"I ordered the on board compressor and a set of Air Lift bags for my Chevy 2500hd to see if it would help when braking while pulling my 36ft fifth wheel, when aired up properly the bounce is gone when I apply my camper brakes and they even help level out some rough roads (not all though). If you install them yourself and you are wallowing around on the garage you will spend4+ hours on the air bags and at least that much time on mounting the compressor and electrical, without some good help. But still saved $300.00 doing it myself. " – sandy "The Cheap Skate"

Customer Reviews:
"I replaced my old air hose that was not rubber, often got tangled up, would rarely unravel without probelms, with the Goodyear 3/8 inch hose. The rubber hose is worth the extra few $. I store it in my garage, and even the winter temperatures don't phase it.Only had it a month, so durability is uncertain, but everything to this point is outstanding.Highly recommend! " – Rom122

Customer Reviews:
"So these things are decent at reducing vibration. I have about 8 supporting my work desk from a giant AC unit that shakes the whole floor and they really work at making life better for me at work. Now when I place a drink on my desk it doesn't show ripples on the surface from the floor shaking like it did before using them.. " – kwn

Customer Reviews:
"For the money these are ok. they are doing the job. my complaint would be the threads were very roughly cast. so much so that i had to run a pipe tap in them to attach the fittings fot the hose. Also had two of them leak. I was able to fix the leak for now. I probaly should have returned them but I already hard piped them to the wall and didnt want to pay 3x's more for different ones. I would say ok for home use not for a comercial setup. " – Jeffk119

* Industrial air compressors keep us healthier. Used frequently in a variety of medical facilities ranging from dentists’ offices to hospitals, compressors drive much of the medical machinery on which our continued quality of life depends. Due to the use of industrial air compressors, tests and other medical procedures can be conducted much more quickly, greatly increasing the quality of the health care we receive, minimizing the time needed from our busy schedules to see to our medical needs.

- Industrial Air Compressors Saves Us labor cost. While we may often complain about the cost of labor whenever we have to have our car repaired or our home painted or renovated the truth is that the labor costs would be much higher without the use of air compressors. By these businesses using air compressors not only can they do the job faster thus saving on the actual time that mechanic or contractor spends completing the work on our car and house, they also need fewer people to complete the job thus saving hundreds if not thousands of dollars that we would have to pay in labor costs if the work was being done without this equipment.

Customer Reviews:
"The advantage to this Goodyear hose is that it is made out of industrial grade rubber instead of vinyl. What that means is that when you are using it instead of being stiff like vinyl it remains soft and flexible, so it lays flat on the floor. This is especially a problem in colder temperatures. It's great for coiling as well, it doesn't fight you.
The real frustration of using a vinyl hose is that it can stand up while moving across the floor, high enough to snag on things, or even pull something onto the floor. The hose is in a coil, then instead of simply uncoiling, the vinyl has a memory and wants to look more like hoops moving over the floor.
This hose comes in 3/8" which is the most popular size. The 1/4" hoses restrict air flow, which is especially important over a 50 foot run.
All in all highly recommended. The advantages are worth it even if it was twice the price.

"I have covered this book in length-no other book or handbook comes close in terms of simplicity of it's explaination. The latest ASHRAE Refrigeration Handbook is a good reference to have when using this book asthere are cross references.Value for money and looking forward to the nextbook that would be specific on Ammonia Refrigeration Systems design. Customer Reviews:
"This is my second Viair 12 volt pump I have purchased. The first was a smaller capacity pump and it is still running very well. These pumps are very well built. They are quiet when compared to other pumps with the same capacity. I am using this pump to charge a ten gallon compressed air tank for demonstrations of an aerosol device at medical conventions. It is small, quiet, and will operate off an AC to DC 12 volt converter that puts out about 20 amps. This beats paying the $650.00 three day charge the exhibit halls hit you up with for a compressed hose at your booth!

My only other wishes are that it had a 12 volt fuse and an off and on switch. Neither of these things were a big deal for me to add.

I highly recommend this pump. It is good to see high quality workmanship in this day and age.

Customer Reviews:
"This is a great product ESPECIALLY for the price and brand. I would definitely recommend to others. It would've gotten five stars, but it doesn't contain the quick connect ends,Ampro A2570 5 Piece Air Coupler Set Brass, Milton Type so you'll have to purchase your own set separately. As for the product itself, coupled with great price, I would buy again without hesitation.

Customer Reviews:
"I like this compressor; quiet, fast, efficient, solidly built.Good features: heavy duty wheel kit, dual connections, good gauges & controls. However, be aware that the drain is not set to drain water completely from the tank in either the vertical or horizontal positions. It needs to propped up at about 45 degrees to get all the condensation out. This is a critical design flaw as residual water in the tank is a big cause of tank failure.Buy the compressor but be sure you drain it well and often. " – Gary R. Sporer

Customer Reviews:
"I wasn't sure if it will really work since it's not that expensive.... But it does!

I was spraying some paint and getting bubbles, so I got it for not-so-expensive investiment. Well, it worked and no bubble after that. I'm not the professional painter by any means but it works just fine for my need!!
" – K. Nagata

Customer Reviews:
"I have only used this thing about three times in the few months I have had it.It has performed as well as expected.I take it with me in my motorcycle tank bag on longer trips, and having that extra security is great.I already have a battery tender connection hanging off my bike and that works great for this also.I think it is a smart buy for anyone in the market. * Fewer wages are lost. When you depend on transportation for your job, and are without your car due to necessary repairs, those repairs result in lost wages and productivity due to time spent away from work to make them. Industrial air compressors make the work go much more quickly, resulting in less time away from work and fewer lost wages. As such, not only do businesses who use air compressors save money for themselves, but they also have us back to work much more quickly, earning more money and becoming far more productive.

* Predictable, uniform results. Paint a car by hand and you’ll quickly realize how difficult obtaining that professional, uniform look really is. This is because the pros use paint sprayers, driven by air compressors that distribute the paint evenly across the car’s surface. Businesses who paint with air compressors not only turn out products faster, but the end results are more uniform and appear more professionally done. As such, we can be certain of getting the most for every dollar spent.

In this day and age when time and money are often in short supply it it nice to know that businesses who use industrial air compressors can keep us healthier and leave more money in our pockets. While we may complain about the cost of parts and labor, these businesses are making it possible for us to have lower labor costs than would be possible without these very powerful and useful pieces of equipment.
