"I have this and the large size. The large size is about the size o a normal bath towel and the extra large an oversized oned. Both work great. They are very thin and fold up to only take up maybe 20% of the space of an ordinary towel, if even that. They will dry you off as quickly as a normal towel, they just won't warm you. They dry out very quickly both hung dry and in the dryer.

Edit: 6 months later and these are holding up well. I have two that I personally use and they are getting washed after every two uses. They look the same as the day I received them. After switching the whole house to these, I have noticed a big difference in the dryer times and gas I am using. Would still recommend. " – D. MCKICHAN

"One of my biggest problems shopping for washcloths (or anything made of fabric these days) is the industrial odor imbedded in the fabric from the factories they are made in (NOT in the USA). Even some "organically grown" items come with an odor that is difficult if not impossible to get rid of.

"wow, for a product that seemingly so thin, its really impressive how well this wicks the moisture off your body. it takes a little getting used to the feel of it but thats not because its unpleasant, just different, so light and grippy. i suppose its like a huge chamois for your body.

its also well finished too. has a nice border and a loop for hanging. i found that its so thin, there is no need to hang it the normal flat way you would another towel. just toss this thing on a hook and it dries out super fast.

its definitely beach towel size, so for the bathroom maybe overkill. will be packing it for beach for sure, esp since i can imagine it sheds the sand better than your average beach towel too.

oh, the other benefit is that it packs down to nothing.

The Fabric:
* Lisse Crepe -- their original towel.
* Texture: very short pile, no visible loops.
* Slightly clingy, when drying yourself.
* A little static in the dryer (but not as much as their microfibre "terry" version)
* Very absorbent and lightweight.
* Comes in many colours and sizes.

Unlike other membrane/spongy camping/outdoor towels:
* You CAN throw this is in the dryer.
* Feels closest to a real towel.
* XL size covers up more for modesty.

Sizes and uses:
*Size XL is best as a bath towel, b/c you can coverup.
*Size L was the original hair/gym towel size -- longer and narrower.Good for a small child.
*Size M is good as a Hand Towel for when you have people over.It gets damp but not soggy and will still do its job of drying hands.

Having said that though, how many of you have actually seen a beach towel cover the entire sun bed? Unless you have extra large beach towels this is unlikely to happen. Perhaps a better option would be to take two smaller sizes as this would be more flexible.

What about the price of the towels? Bigger ones do often come at a higher price. This can be frustrating but it is a fact. If the cost is a problem then you should initially look at a standard or a smaller one. You should be able to find these in many stores.
