Egyptian Towels
I want to show you today why Egyptian towels are the best towels in the world. These towels have a reputation of being of higher quality than others that you will find anywhere. So is this true? In my opinion yes and here’s why. The first sign of quality is the name ‘Egyptian towels’. You don’t put your name to anything before you believe in its quality. The Egyptians have put their name to their towels and this must mean they are confident in them. How many other countries have done that? Have you ever heard of UK towels?
Customer Reviews:
"I love these towels! They're very thick, soft and thirsty. I have compared these towels with other high end towels and I find them to be superior. I highly recommend them. " – linda*vegan
Customer Reviews:
"The towels are super soft and comfy. These are replacing bamboo fiber towels I had previously, which were soft but constantly pilled, especially if you have a short stubble. The Chelsea towels are very heavy duty, very absorbent, and very soft against the skin. " – compulsive_shopper
Customer Reviews:
"I needed towels for my bath room update and ordered these. They are great towels!Big and super soft.Took a couple of washings to de-lint but otherwise no problem. " – Linda
Customer Reviews:
"One of my biggest problems shopping for washcloths (or anything made of fabric these days) is the industrial odor imbedded in the fabric from the factories they are made in (NOT in the USA). Even some "organically grown" items come with an odor that is difficult if not impossible to get rid of.
These washcloths 1888 Mills 100-Percent Organic Cotton Oversized Washcloth Set of 4, Leaf Green are Awesome! Super Nice, Super Soft & Absolutely NO Odor!! I 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a truly quality product! The price is quite a bonus as well! :) " – J. Lubker
Customer Reviews:
"The quality of these towels is exceptional. They are very thick, soft and absorbent. My only problem with them is the size of the bath towels, which are oversized.I normally love oversized towels, but these towels are so nice in quality that a normal size would be sufficient. " – D. Wellhofer
Customer Reviews:
"These towels are amazing, especially for the price!!!The color is a beautiful plum and goes very well with the other purple I have in my bathroom.I ordered more of these to go in the guest bathroom in cream color.I love these!!!If you want to be pampered by your wash towel and want to pamper you guests, do yourself a favor and order these!!!You will not be disappointed!!! " – Jamie R. Ensminger
Customer Reviews:
"This is the softest thickest towel I have ever seen and wish they came in adult size! I bought another one for the baby and also bought the little terry robe. One of the towels was discounted (50% off) by one of the Amazon sellers which was a great bargain. I still think it is worth it at full price.
I love all Under the Nile products, and am a regular customer - I feel I am doing a good thing for my baby when choosing organic cotton, and also support a company that has respect for its employees. There is a reason why cheap stuff is cheap - quality differences, or company uses questionable labor practices. " – Ivy
Customer Reviews:
"This easily fits over a chair - it's very thick and soft.Very pretty!I love it!Will order 2 more for Christmas gifts. I wanted to check out the quality before ordering all three. But now I will order. Thanks! " – hoodatt
Customer Reviews:
"I am very pleased with the quality of these hand towels. I need this color, which is hard to find nowadays, for my guest half-bath. The towels are a good weight and size, hemmed nicely, colorfast and a great value.I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a package of 9 towels, instead of the advertised 8 towels. And, although I am a Prime member, I was amazed to receive this shipment in only one day without paying for one day shipping.Overall, great value for the money and I will definitely consider purchasing this "Superior" brand of towel again. It is a little mystifying, though, that these towels are listed as "Kitchen."They are not tea towels or dish towels, but rather, hand towels for the bathroom. " – LindaLouise6517
Customer Reviews:
"These all look great in my kitchen. They aren't as absorbent as I had hoped buy they look good and for me that's all that matters since I bought them mostly for decoration anyway. " – Sally
If Egyptian towels are the best than that must mean that they are different from the other towels that are made elsewhere? Correct, that is indeed true. Yes they are made from cotton but that cotton is a lot thinner than the cotton from other areas of the world.
The Egyptians are quite lucky that their cotton is thinner. This thinness means that they can get more of it into a piece of a towel than you could from using other types of cotton. This will give it a higher quality feel.

Customer Reviews:
"Level one rinses only last a week or two before your original color pokes through again. Level 3 is a permanent rinse - so when your hair grows, the different color in your roots has a stark contrast. I love the Natural Instincts level 2 rinses. The color lasting power varies depening on the color of your natural hair and the color you select. I leave color on for over the maximum 20 minutes or it just won't take - but the color is truly natural in appearance and doesn't look like some freakish tone - even when it fades after about 30 shampoos. It starts to gently fade at about the time different colored roots start showing, so you don't get a stark difference - it just looks like your hair is changing colors on its own - slowly and gracefully - giving you a day or even a week to put off before coloring your hair again. Customer Reviews:
"I bought this set and another set from Blue Nile Mills to compare the products.I was searching for a large cotton bath sheet, and hadn't found any decent ones in the local stores, at a reasonable price. In fact, some that I had bought and tried (one was Nautica) immediately had loops pulled, runs, and hem coming undone just after the initial washing (prior to actual use) on a gentle cycle!By comparison to Nautica, this towel was definitely more plush, softer, thicker, and dried faster. However, after the initial washing, I did find a few pulled loops. In comparison to the Blue Nile, I'd go with Blue Niles for softness, plush factor, and overall condition after washing.I still think this is a good quality towel though, so I'm keeping it.Consider getting the Blue Niles version on Amazon though as they are about the same price. " – Peachy Keen

"These bath towels are truly luxurious. No comparison to ordinary towels.Wonderfully absorbent and very high quality. Great customer service. " – J Lynn Hughes
Customer Reviews:
"I'm very happy with the quality of these washcloths. They are really soft and fluffed up nicely after washing. The only thing that's weird is the tag on each washcloth is HUGE... other than that, I love them! " – Dionne Wilson
Customer Reviews:
"This 4-piece towel set provides very good quality for the price. The kitchen towels are large enough to be versatile. The styling is up to that of designer sets. The heft of the towels is perfect, heavy enough to do the job and feel like they will last yet not in the least bulky. " – JoatMon
So what does this mean for the price? Will it be higher? The answer is generally yes. When you think about it does make sense. The thinner thread in Egyptian towels means they use more of it as we have already said. As you are using more of the materials the cost of producing it also is higher.
There is also the distance between counties that you need to think about and transport costs that into getting the final product to countries like the UK. The towels don’t have to be directly imported as it is only necessary to import the cotton. Either way the costs do add up.
The Egyptians have given us great things over the years. They have given us the pyramids and a fantastic civilization, and now we have Egyptian towels that we can use.
